We suggest that you get to the train station in good time to find the platform.

Grab yourself a seat on this high-speed train to be whisked from Italy’s capital to possibly its most popular city of all: Venice.

You have the opportunity to spend an entire day on your own, zooming and zipping around the canals on the handy Vaporettos (water buses).

Visit the iconic monuments that you’ve always dreamed of seeing in the flesh like St. Mark’s Basilica, the Doge’s Palace, and the Rialto Bridge to name a few.

If you fancy it, you could hire a gondola to enable you to drift smoothly along underneath the Bridge of Sighs in the authentic Venetian style.

Feel free to feed the pigeons and people watch as the locals go about their daily duties in a rush at Piazza San Marco.

Head across the lagoon to the colorful and marvelous Murano where you can see first-hand where the world-famous traditional glass is blown.

Admire the notorious Renaissance artwork and architecture, get lost on the narrow streets and winding walkways, and find a cozy trattoria where you can tuck into regional specialties like sarde in saor (marinated sardines) or bigoli (a type of pasta). It’s up to you what you want to do!

There is so much on offer.

As the day winds to a close, make your way back to Santa Lucia station to settle yourself on the train for both a picturesque and comfy ride back to Rome.
