The Yes Getaways Athens City Break includes round-trip flights, 6 nights of hotel accommodation in central Athens, and all taxes and fees related to the booking. Breakfast, meals, airport transfers, guided tours, and city taxes are not included. Airport transfers can be added during the booking process. Flight upgrades to premium economy or business class are available on most packages, subject to availability.

Checked luggage is not always included and depends on the airline and fare type in your package. You can confirm what is included and add luggage during the booking process. The Yes Getaways team is always available to help if you prefer to arrange it with us directly.

The package includes a selection of 3 and 4-star hotels, all centrally located in Athens within walking distance of the Acropolis, Plaka, and Monastiraki. You do not need a car or taxi to reach the main sights from any of the properties. Exact options are shown when you click a date in the booking calendar and proceed to the next step. Upgrade options are available on request. Contact the Yes Getaways team to discuss preferences before booking. The package price varies depending on the hotel selected.

No. City taxes are not included and are paid directly at the hotel on arrival or checkout. 

No. All activities listed in the day-by-day itinerary, including the Acropolis visit, Cape Sounion day trip, Delphi excursion, and island cruises, are optional and at additional cost. We strongly recommend booking the Acropolis tickets in advance, particularly in peak season, as timed entry slots sell out quickly. Tours can be added during the booking process or by contacting the Yes Getaways team directly.

No. Athens is a walkable city and the historic center is compact. The metro, trams, and buses connect the main neighborhoods efficiently. Taxis and ride-hailing apps are also widely available. A rental car is not recommended for city exploration as parking is limited and traffic in central Athens can be heavy.

The package price is based on two travelers sharing a room. Solo travelers pay a single supplement. Contact the Yes Getaways team directly and we will make it easy. Yes. Athens is the main gateway to the Greek islands and this package can be combined with an island stay. Popular additions include Santorini, Mykonos, Crete, and Rhodes, all reachable by short domestic flight or ferry. Contact the Yes Getaways team and we will build a combined itinerary tailored to your dates and preferences. Additional costs apply.

Yes. Several islands are reachable on a day trip from Athens. Aegina, Poros, and Hydra are the most popular options, all accessible by ferry from Piraeus port in under two hours. Day cruise packages covering all three islands are available as optional add-ons and can be included in your booking. 

Athens is a year-round destination. Spring (April to May) is ideal, with mild temperatures around 20°C (68°F), fewer crowds, and lower prices, perfect for sightseeing and walking tours. Summer (June to August) is hot, often reaching 35°C (95°F), the busiest and most expensive period but excellent for combining Athens with island day trips. Autumn (September to October) stays warm at around 24°C (75°F), quieter, and more affordable, one of the best times to visit. Winter (November to March) is mild at around 12°C (54°F), well suited to museums, archaeological sites, and exploring the city without crowds.

The land portion of your package is refundable if cancelled at least 14 days before your travel date. Airfare is non-refundable from the moment it is issued, but the Yes Getaways team will always check with the airline to explore options. Travel insurance with cancellation cover is strongly recommended. This summary does not replace the full terms and conditions of your booking, which we encourage you to read before confirming.

Canadian and US passport holders do not currently need a visa for Greece or any Schengen Area country for stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period. Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond your return date. ETIAS, a pre-travel authorization for Schengen Area travel, is not yet mandatory. When it launches, we will contact you in advance with enough time to complete the process. Entry requirements are the traveler's responsibility and can change.

Greece is a stable and safe destination for Canadian and US travelers, with no active conflicts and not affected by the current conflicts in Europe or elsewhere. Athens is generally safe for visitors though normal precautions apply in busy tourist areas and on public transport, where pickpocketing can occur. As with any international trip, we recommend checking your government's official travel advisory before departure.
