Day By Day Itinerary

1. Day 1 Welcome to Spain!

   

   Welcome to Spain! Start your road trip adventure by picking up your rental car at the airport, from there, embark on a scenic drive to Córdoba, which will take approximately 1.5 hours. Upon arrival, check into your accommodation and take some time to unwind after your journey.

   Suggestion for the day:

   • Depending on your arrival time, you might want to start exploring Córdoba's rich history. Begin with a leisurely evening stroll through the historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage site. 
   • Wander through the narrow, winding streets of the Jewish Quarter (Judería), and enjoy the charming atmosphere. 
   • Stop for dinner at a traditional restaurant, where you can savor local Andalusian dishes like salmorejo and flamenquín.
2. Day 2 Exploring the Historic Wonders of Cordoba

   

   Suggestion for the day: 

   • Start your day by exploring the city's most iconic landmark, the Mezquita-Catedral. This stunning mosque-cathedral is a masterpiece of Islamic architecture with a fascinating Christian influence, reflecting the city's multicultural past.
   • After visiting the Mezquita, head to the nearby Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos, a historic fortress with beautiful gardens. Take a leisurely stroll through the gardens, enjoying the fountains and the panoramic views from the tower.
   • For lunch, stop at a local tapas bar and sample an array of delicious small plates. In the afternoon, visit the Palacio de Viana, known for its twelve picturesque patios. 
   • End your day with a relaxing evening by the Guadalquivir River, where you can watch the sunset over the Roman Bridge.
3. Day 3 Cordoba to Malaga

   • Check out of your accommodation and prepare for the drive to Málaga, a city known for its vibrant culture and beautiful beaches. The drive will take around 1 hour and 45 minutes. 
   • Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take some time to relax or explore the beachfront.
   • Spend your afternoon visiting the Alcazaba, an impressive Moorish fortress with stunning views of the city and the sea. 
   • Nearby, explore the ruins of the Roman Theatre, which date back to the 1st century BC. 
   • For dinner, head to the lively El Palo neighborhood, where you can enjoy fresh seafood at a beachfront restaurant.
4. Day 4 Discovering the Art and Culture of Malaga

   

   Suggestion for the day:

   • Visit to the Picasso Museum, located in the heart of Málaga's old town. This museum is dedicated to the city's most famous son, showcasing an extensive collection of his works.
   • After the museum, take a walk through the charming streets of the historic center, stopping by the Málaga Cathedral, also known as "La Manquita." 
   • For lunch, enjoy some traditional Andalusian cuisine at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Centre Pompidou Málaga, a contemporary art museum housed in a colorful, cube-shaped building. 
   • End your day with a walk along the lively Muelle Uno promenade, where you can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and views of the harbor.
5. Day 5 Malaga to Seville

   

   Suggestion for the day: 

   • Check out and drive to Seville, the capital of Andalusia. The drive will take approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. 
   • Once in Seville, check into your hotel and take some time to rest before starting your exploration.
   • Spend your afternoon visiting the Seville Cathedral, the largest Gothic cathedral in the world, and the iconic Giralda Tower. Climb to the top of the tower for panoramic views of the city. 
   • Afterward, take a leisurely walk through the Barrio Santa Cruz, Seville's historic Jewish quarter, known for its narrow streets and beautiful patios. 
   • For dinner, enjoy some authentic tapas in one of the many traditional bars.
6. Day 6 Exploring Seville’s Royal Palaces and Gardens

   

   Suggestion for the day: 

   • Begin your day with a visit to the Royal Alcázar of Seville, a magnificent palace complex with stunning Mudejar architecture and lush gardens.
   • After exploring the Alcázar, head to the nearby Plaza de España, a grand semi-circular plaza with a beautiful canal and colorful ceramic tiles. Rent a rowboat and paddle along the canal for a unique perspective of the plaza. 
   • For lunch, try a local favorite – espinacas con garbanzos (spinach with chickpeas) – at a traditional Andalusian restaurant.
   • In the afternoon, visit the Metropol Parasol, also known as Las Setas, a modern wooden structure offering spectacular views of the city. 
   • End your day with a traditional Flamenco show to experience the passionate music and dance of Andalusia.
7. Day 7 Departure from Seville

   

   Suggestion for the day: 

   • On your final day, depending on your flight time, you may have a few more hours to explore Seville.
   • If time allows, visit the Casa de Pilatos, a stunning 16th-century palace blending Renaissance, Gothic, and Mudejar styles. 
   • Afterward, stop by a local cafe for a coffee and a final taste of Andalusian pastries. 
   • When it's time, drive to Seville Airport, return your rental car, and check in for your flight. 
   • Reflect on the incredible journey through Andalusia, filled with rich history, cultural experiences, and unforgettable moments.
