Pompeii is about 35 minutes from Naples by train. Ferries to Capri leave from the port of Molo Beverello and take about 45 minutes. The Amalfi Coast is easiest on an organized day tour, or by train to Sorrento and then bus or ferry. Tickets are not included.

U.S. and Canadian citizens do not need a visa for tourist stays of up to 90 days in Italy, which is part of the Schengen Area. Your passport should be valid for at least 3 months after your departure date. The EU is introducing ETIAS, an online travel authorization for visitors who do not need a visa, so check the official EU websites before you travel.
