Paris & Amsterdam: 7 Days by Train

The Yes Getaways Paris & Amsterdam package includes round-trip flights, 6 nights of hotel accommodation (3 in Paris, 3 in Amsterdam), the train ticket from Paris to Amsterdam, airport transfers on arrival in Paris and departure from Amsterdam, and all taxes and fees related to the booking. Breakfast, meals, tours, and activities are not included unless specified at the time of booking.

The train departs from Paris Gare du Nord and arrives at Amsterdam Centraal, with a journey time of approximately 4 hours. The train ticket is included in the package. Hotels in both cities are centrally located and easily accessible from both stations. The exact departure time is confirmed at booking. 

No transfer is included between the hotel and the train station in either city. Hotels in both Paris and Amsterdam are in central areas and within easy reach of the stations on foot or by public transport. If you prefer a private transfer, the Yes Getaways team can arrange this as a paid add-on.

The package offers a range of hotels in both cities, from 3-star to 5-star properties. In Paris, options include boutique hotels in Saint-Germain and other central neighborhoods. In Amsterdam, properties are located in or near the canal district and city center. Hotels are not always directly on the main square, so some light walking may be needed. Exact properties are shown when you click a date in the booking calendar and proceed to the next step. The package price varies depending on the hotel selected. Breakfast is not included by default but can be added during the booking process. Complimentary breakfast can also be prioritized on request by contacting the Yes Getaways team when booking and we will do our best to arrange it.

No. City taxes are not included and are paid directly at each hotel on arrival or checkout. Both Paris and Amsterdam apply their own city tax rates, which vary by hotel category and length of stay.

No. All activities listed in the day-by-day itinerary, including Versailles, Eiffel Tower visits, Seine River cruises, the Anne Frank House, Rijksmuseum, and Van Gogh Museum, are optional and at additional cost. Tours and experiences can be added during the booking process. The Yes Getaways team is also available to help you select and include the right experiences for your trip.

Seat selection, extra baggage, and cabin class upgrades are not included in the package price but can be arranged as paid add-ons, subject to availability.

The package price is based on two travelers sharing a room. Solo travelers pay a single supplement. Contact the Yes Getaways team directly and we will make it easy. Yes. The Yes Getaways team can add nights in Paris or Amsterdam, adjust flights, upgrade hotels, or combine this package with another destination. Contact the team with your dates, departure city, and group size and we will put together a tailored proposal by email, usually within 24 hours. Our team will accommodate your requests. Both cities are year-round destinations with distinct appeal in each season. Spring (April to May) is the most popular time, with temperatures around 15°C (59°F) in both cities, blooming parks, and longer days. Amsterdam's tulip season peaks in April. Summer (June to August) brings warm weather up to 25°C (77°F), long evenings, and the highest crowds and prices. Autumn (September to October) offers mild temperatures around 13°C (55°F), fewer tourists, and good conditions for walking and museums. Winter (November to February) is cold, around 4°C (39°F), but both cities are atmospheric, with Christmas markets in December and significantly lower prices throughout.

Both France and the Netherlands are part of the European Union and the Schengen Area. Canadian and US passport holders do not currently need a visa for stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period. Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond your return date. A new travel authorization called ETIAS is expected to be introduced for Schengen Area travel in the future. It is not yet in force. When it becomes mandatory, we will contact you in advance of your trip with enough time to complete the process. Entry requirements are the traveler's responsibility and can change.

Both France and the Netherlands are stable and safe destinations for Canadian and US travelers. Neither country is affected by active conflicts. We are aware of the current geopolitical climate in Europe and monitor the situation closely. Both destinations remain fully open to North American visitors with no travel restrictions in place at this time. As in any major European city with high tourist traffic, pickpocketing can occur in busy areas such as the Eiffel Tower, metro stations, and popular market streets in both Paris and Amsterdam. Keep valuables secure and stay aware of your surroundings. We always recommend checking your government's official travel advisory before departure, as diplomatic situations can evolve.

The land portion of your package (hotels, train ticket, and transfers) is refundable if cancelled at least 14 days before your travel date. Airfare is non-refundable from the moment it is issued, but the Yes Getaways team will always check with the airline on your behalf to explore available options. Contact the team as soon as you know you need to cancel. Travel insurance with cancellation cover is strongly recommended.
