The Yes Getaways Prague Christmas Markets package includes round-trip flights, 7 nights of hotel accommodation in the historic center of Prague, an airport transfer on arrival and on departure, and all taxes and fees related to the booking. Breakfast, guided tours, and city taxes are not included. 

The package includes hotels ranging from 3 to 5-star, all selected for their location in the historic center within walking distance of the main Christmas markets. The package price varies depending on the hotel selected. Properties are spread across the Old Town, Malá Strana, and the Charles Bridge area, putting the Old Town Square market, Wenceslas Square market, and Charles Bridge all within a short walk. No. Prague is one of the most walkable cities in Europe. The historic center, all Christmas markets, and all hotels in this package are reachable on foot. The airport transfers on arrival and departure are included. A car is not needed at any point on this trip.

Checked luggage is not always included and depends on the airline and fare type. Confirm what is included and add luggage if needed when booking. Seat selection and cabin class upgrades can be arranged as paid add-ons, subject to availability.

Prague has several markets running through December. Old Town Square is the main event, with a towering Christmas tree, wooden stalls, and the Astronomical Clock marking every hour. Wenceslas Square has a larger, more local feel with food, crafts, and festive lights along the boulevard. Malá Strana has a quieter market on Kampa Island. Náplavka runs a riverside market with local producers and Czech craft beer. Vyšehrad has a smaller market with artisanal gifts and castle views. All markets typically run from late November through January 6.

Yes. Prague is one of the most visited cities in Europe year-round and rewards the visit in any season. Spring and autumn offer mild temperatures and fewer crowds. Summer is busy and warm, with the city at its most lively. Outside of December, the Christmas markets are not operating but the Old Town, Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, and the food and beer scene are worth the trip at any time of year. No. All activities are optional and at additional cost. Prague in December averages -1°C to 4°C (30°F to 39°F), with the highest chance of snow of any city on this itinerary. The cold is part of what makes the markets feel like Christmas. Pack warm layers, a waterproof coat, and comfortable walking shoes with grip. Snow on Charles Bridge and the castle above it is one of the most photographed scenes in Central Europe.

Yes. Prague connects naturally with Vienna by train in approximately 4 hours 30 minutes, and with Budapest by train in approximately 6 hours. Yes to both. The Yes Getaways team can add extra nights in Prague or include a day trip to Kutná Hora or Karlovy Vary. If you are travelling solo, the package price is based on two travelers sharing a room and a single supplement applies. US and Canadian passport holders do not currently need a visa for the Czech Republic, a Schengen Area country. Stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period are permitted without a visa. Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond your return date. ETIAS, a pre-travel authorization for Schengen Area travel, is not yet mandatory. When it launches, we will contact you in advance. Entry requirements are the traveler's responsibility and can change.

The land portion of your package is refundable if cancelled at least 14 days before your travel date. Airfare is non-refundable from the moment it is issued. Travel insurance with cancellation cover is strongly recommended for a December holiday trip.
