The Yes Getaways Athens City Break includes round-trip flights, 6 nights in a central hotel in Athens, taxes and fees related to the booking and an expert trip manager. Yes. Round-trip flights are included. The price depends on your departure airport, and other departure cities are available on request. Contact the Yes Getaways team before booking to discuss departure options. Seat selection, extra baggage, and cabin class upgrades are not included in the package price but can be arranged with the team before finalizing your booking as paid add-ons and subject to availability.

This package includes 3 and 4 star hotels selected by the Yes Getaways team in the center of Athens, within walking distance of the Acropolis, Plaka and Monastiraki.

Breakfast is not included by default. It can be added during the booking process, when available for your hotel and dates, or requested from the Yes Getaways team. All other meals are at your own expense.

No. City taxes are not included in the package price and are paid directly at the hotel.

No. The activities in the itinerary, including the Acropolis visit, the Cape Sounion and Delphi day trips and the island cruises, are optional and at an additional cost. Book the Acropolis tickets in advance, especially in summer, as the timed entry slots sell out. Tours can be added during the booking process or arranged with the Yes Getaways team.

No. The historic center is compact and easy to walk. The metro, trams and buses connect the main neighborhoods, and taxis and ride-hailing apps are easy to find. A rental car is not recommended in the city, where parking is limited and traffic can be heavy.

The package price is based on two travelers sharing a room. Solo travelers pay a single supplement. You can check solo pricing by changing the number of guests from 2 to 1 in the booking calendar before clicking See Dates and Prices, or contact the Yes Getaways team.

Yes. The Yes Getaways team can add nights in Athens and adjust your return flight, subject to availability and at an additional cost. Contact the team with your preferred dates and we will send you an updated quote.

Yes. Athens is the main gateway to the Greek islands. Santorini, Mykonos, Crete and Rhodes can be reached by short domestic flight or ferry. Contact the Yes Getaways team and we will put together a combined trip for your dates. Additional costs apply.

Yes. Aegina, Poros and Hydra are the most popular day trips, by ferry from the port of Piraeus in under two hours. Day cruises that visit all three are available as optional add-ons.

Athens is a year-round destination. Spring (April to May) is mild, around 68°F, with fewer crowds. Summer (June to August) is hot, often 95°F, and the busiest time of year. Fall (September to October) stays warm, around 75°F, and quieter. Winter (November to March) is mild, around 54°F, and a good time for museums and archaeological sites without the crowds.

The land portion of your package is refundable if cancelled at least 14 days before your travel date. Airfare is non-refundable once issued, but the Yes Getaways team will always check with the airline for options. Travel insurance with cancellation cover is recommended. This summary does not replace the full terms and conditions of your booking.

U.S. and Canadian passport holders do not need a visa for Greece or the rest of the Schengen Area for stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period. Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond your return date. ETIAS, a pre-travel authorization for the Schengen Area, is not yet mandatory; when it starts, we will let you know in advance. Entry requirements can change, so check the official websites before you travel.

Starting November 3, 2026, all passengers flying to the United States, or connecting through U.S. territory, must hand in a signed declaration at check-in. This applies to U.S. citizens too. It confirms you have not been in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the 21 days before your flight. Download the form from the CDC website, fill it in, sign it and date it with your travel date. Passengers without a completed form may be denied boarding, so we recommend arriving at the airport with extra time. Requirements can change, so please check the CDC page before you travel.

Yes. Greece is a stable and safe destination. In Athens, take normal precautions in busy areas and on public transport, where pickpocketing can happen. Check your government's official travel advisory before you leave.
