The train journey from Budapest to Vienna covers approximately 216 km (134 mi) and takes around 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Once in Viena, here is our suggestion for the day:

Head to Naschmarkt for lunch, where you can find a variety of food stalls and eateries offering both local and international cuisine.

After lunch, take a leisurely walk to the Vienna State Opera. While you may not have time for a full performance, you can admire the stunning architecture and learn about its rich history.

Spend your evening wandering through the historic city center. Visit St. Stephen's Cathedral and explore the charming streets of the Innere Stadt.
