France by Train: Southern Elegance

The Yes Getaways France by Train package includes round-trip flights, 9 nights of hotel accommodation (2 in Paris, 2 in Tours, 2 in Bordeaux, 2 in Toulouse, 1 in Paris on return), train tickets between all four cities, airport transfers on arrival in Paris and departure from Paris, and all taxes and fees related to the booking. Transfers between hotels and train stations are not included. Breakfast, meals, guided tours, and city taxes are not included.

Four train journeys are included: Paris to Tours, Tours to Bordeaux, Bordeaux to Toulouse, and Toulouse back to Paris. All trains are high-speed services. Journey times vary by route. The exact departure times are confirmed at booking based on your travel dates. Transfers between hotels and train stations are not included. All hotels are centrally located and within easy reach of the train stations on foot, by metro, or by taxi.

Train tickets are included in economy class on all four journeys. If you prefer to travel in a higher class for more space and comfort, an upgrade is available at an additional cost. 

Yes, round-trip flights are included. The price varies depending on your departure airport. Other departure cities are available on the package page and additional options are available on request. Flight upgrades to premium economy or business class are available on most packages, subject to availability. Contact the Yes Getaways team when booking and we will quote the upgrade cost for your specific flights.

Checked luggage is not always included and depends on the airline and fare type in your package. You can confirm what is included and add luggage during the booking process. 

The package includes hotels ranging from 3 to 5 stars across all four cities. Properties are centrally located in Paris, Tours, Bordeaux, and Toulouse, within easy reach of the main sights and train stations. Hotels are not always directly on the main square, so some light walking may be needed. Exact options are shown when you click a date in the booking calendar and proceed to the next step. Upgrade and budget-friendly options are available on request. Contact the Yes Getaways team to discuss preferences before booking. The package price varies depending on the hotel selected.

Breakfast is not included by default but can be added during the booking process. 

No. City taxes are not included and are paid directly at each hotel on arrival or checkout.

No. All activities listed in the day-by-day itinerary, including Loire Valley château visits, wine tastings in Bordeaux, and canal walks in Toulouse, are optional and at additional cost. Tours can be added during the booking process. The Yes Getaways team is also available to help you select and include the right experiences for your trip.

Advertised prices reflect availability at the time the promotion was launched. Once those seats or rooms sell out, the price updates to reflect the next available tier. The lower price is genuinely gone and cannot be matched manually. If you see a price you want, the best move is to book or contact the Yes Getaways team right away so we can check current availability.

The package price is based on two travelers sharing a room. Solo travelers pay a single supplement. Contact the Yes Getaways team directly and we will make it easy. Yes. The Yes Getaways team can add nights in any city, adjust train connections, include day trips, or add destinations such as Lyon, Nice, or the French Riviera. Contact the team with your dates, departure city, and group size. Our team will accommodate your requests. Additional costs may apply.

All four cities are accessible year-round. Spring (April to May) is mild at around 17°C (63°F), ideal for château visits in the Loire Valley and outdoor terraces in Bordeaux, with fewer crowds than summer. Summer (June to August) is warm, reaching 28°C (82°F), the busiest and most expensive period but excellent for markets, wine regions, and long evenings. Autumn (September to October) is the wine harvest season in Bordeaux and the Loire, warm at around 20°C (68°F) and one of the best times to visit. Winter (November to March) is cool at around 7°C (45°F), well suited to museums, Christmas markets, and exploring at a quieter pace.

France is a stable and safe destination for Canadian and US travelers, with no active conflicts and not affected by the current conflicts in Europe or elsewhere. As with any major city, normal precautions apply in busy tourist areas, particularly in Paris where pickpocketing can occur in crowded spots and on public transport. We always recommend checking your government's official travel advisory before departure.

Canadian and US passport holders do not currently need a visa for France or any Schengen Area country for stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period. Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond your return date. ETIAS, a pre-travel authorization for Schengen Area travel, is not yet mandatory. When it launches, we will contact you in advance with enough time to complete the process. Entry requirements are the traveler's responsibility and can change.

The land portion of your package is refundable if cancelled at least 14 days before your travel date. Airfare is non-refundable from the moment it is issued, but the Yes Getaways team will always check with the airline to explore options.
