Nuremberg Christmas Market: The Christkindlmarkt

This Yes Getaways package includes round-trip flights, the train ticket between Nuremberg and Munich, 7 nights of hotel accommodation (5 nights in Nuremberg, 2 nights in Munich), and airport transfers. Meals, train transfers, city taxes, and market extras such as food and mulled wine are not included.

Seat selection, extra baggage, and cabin class upgrades are not included in the package price but can be arranged as paid add-ons, subject to availability.

You fly to Nuremberg Airport and depart from Munich Airport. 

Yes. The train ticket between Munich and Nuremberg, approximately 1 hour, is included in the package. You'll travel in the highest available class, though availability varies by date, if that class sells out or it's not available, the Yes Getaways team will present the best alternative.

Transfers between your hotel and the train station in Nuremberg and Munich are not included. Hotels are centrally located to make exploring the Christmas markets easy on foot, but that's not necessarily the same distance as the train station, so plan for a short taxi ride or walk depending on your specific hotel. If you'd rather have this arranged for you, contact the Yes Getaways team and it can be built into your quote.

Munich's main market fills Marienplatz, the square in front of the New Town Hall, with a towering Christmas tree, wooden stalls, and mulled wine. A smaller, more local alternative, the Viktualienmarkt Christmas Market, sits inside the city's historic food market, good for a quieter pace and regional snacks. Both are free to enter, no ticket needed, food, drinks, and any purchases at the stalls are at your own expense.

This itinerary follows a fixed order: Nuremberg, then Munich, connected by train, with a transfer from Munich Airport directly to Nuremberg on arrival. If you'd like to add extra nights at either stop, or build a different German itinerary, contact the Yes Getaways team and we'll put together a custom version.

Germany is part of the Schengen Area. US and Canadian passport holders do not currently need a visa for stays up to 90 days. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date. ETIAS is not yet mandatory, when it becomes mandatory we will notify you in advance. Germany has no active travel advisories, and entry requirements can change, it is the traveler's responsibility to confirm current requirements before departure.

⚠️ Please note that entry into the United Kingdom requires an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) for many visa-exempt travellers, including eligible U.S. and Canadian citizens. If your itinerary includes arrival in, departure from, or a transit or layover through the United Kingdom, you may be required to obtain an ETA before travel. Entry requirements can change, and it is the traveler's responsibility to verify current visa, passport, and transit requirements before departure through their government's official travel advisory website.

The land portion of your package is refundable if cancelled at least 14 days before your travel date. Airfare is non-refundable from the moment it is issued, but the Yes Getaways team will always check with the airline to explore options.
