Day 1Welcome to Rome
Ciao Roma! Arriving at the airport, pick up the car. Park at the hotel or somewhere around the city and take a little walk around. You can already discover some of the most famous stops. Find a good Italian restaurant. Treat yourself to a perfect dinner experience for the beginning of your adventure!

Pro tips:

If you arrive early enough (before 6 PM) check out the “Orange garden”. It is located on one of the “7 hills of Rome”. Enjoy the sunset view!

If you walk along Via di Santa Sabina Street to the southwest, you will get to the Cavalieri di Malta Square (Piazza dei Cavalieri di Malta). It was built by Giovan Battista Piranesi in 1765. You can legally indulge in peeping through the keyhole installed at the entrance door to the Villa dei Cavalieri. Through the hole, you can see the dome of St. Peter’s Cathedral (Basilica di San Pietro) in all its glory.

It’s easy to move around using a “city bus” if you don’t want to trouble yourself with parking around some crowded spots.
Day 2Drive to Amalfi
Suggestion for the day: Pompeii and off to Amalfi

To reach Pompeii from Rome, you’re looking at a 2-hour, 40-minute drive. There you can plan to join a Local Specialist who will share details of the devastation caused by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius and show you around this city frozen in time. Drive to Amalfi (1h from Pompeii), where you will spend the second night of your trip. Make sure to not miss these experiences on the Amalfi Coast:

Day 3Drive to Positano
Drive from Amalfi to Positano (40 minutes drive). With its steep houses tumbling down to the sea, old-timey hotels draped in flowering vines, and restaurant terraces, Positano is an obvious favorite with travelers looking for a getaway.

Suggestion for the day: Where Dreams Meet the Sea

Soak in the views of the coast and the Tyrrhenian Sea from the boat as you enjoy a glass of Prosecco and some light aperitifs. Swim or snorkel in the clear blue waters, or simply enjoy the view. Back to Rome
