This package includes 9 nights total: 1 night in a Barcelona hotel before boarding, a 7-night cruise aboard Explorer of the Seas, and 1 night in an Athens hotel after disembarking. Also included are round-trip flights, airport transfers, pier transfers between your hotels and the ship, full board for the entire cruise, and gratuities. The cruise route runs from Barcelona to Athens (Piraeus), with stops in Valletta (Malta), Santorini, Ephesus (Kusadasi, Turkey), and Mykonos, plus two sea days.

• Day 2: Transfer to the pier, board Explorer of the Seas, departs 5:00 PM. 
• Day 3: Day at Sea. 
• Day 4: Valletta, Malta, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. 
• Day 5: Day at Sea. 
• Day 6: Santorini, Greece, 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. 
• Day 7: Ephesus (Kusadasi), Turkey, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. 
• Day 8: Mykonos, Greece, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. 
• Day 9: Arrive in Athens (Piraeus) at 5:00 AM, transfer to your Athens hotel for your final night. 
• Day 10: Transfer to the airport for your flight home.

Full board covers breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the main dining venues and buffet throughout the cruise. 

Drink packages and Wi-Fi are not included in the package price, but can be purchased directly through Royal Caribbean, either before your cruise or on board.

Yes. Gratuities are included in this package, so there is no additional daily gratuity charge added to your onboard account for standard dining and stateroom service.

Explorer of the Seas belongs to Royal Caribbean's Voyager class, the second-oldest of the line's seven current ship classes. It's not the newest or largest in the fleet, Icon, Oasis, Quantum, and Freedom class ships all carry more passengers. But Voyager was the class that introduced the Royal Promenade and the ice rink, two features that later became signature elements on every larger ship that followed. You get the full Royal Caribbean experience without the size or price tag of the newest megaships.

An ice rink, a rock climbing wall 200 ft above sea level, a 9-hole mini golf course, full-size basketball and volleyball courts, the Royal Promenade, four decks high and lined with shops, bars, and restaurants, a twin-level library, and a Solarium with an indoor pool and whirlpool. Dining ranges from Johnny Rockets, an American diner, to Portofino, an Italian restaurant available for private dining.

Shore excursions are optional and not included in the package price. They can be booked directly through Royal Caribbean before or during your cruise, or arranged independently at each port. Contact us if you'd like guidance on planning your time in Malta, Santorini, Ephesus, or Mykonos.

Spain, Malta, and Greece are all part of the Schengen Area. US and Canadian passport holders do not currently need a visa for stays of up to 90 days. Turkey is different, it is not part of the Schengen Area, but US and Canadian citizens with an ordinary passport are exempt from a Turkish visa for stays up to 90 days in any 180-day period. Only holders of official, diplomatic, or service passports need a visa to enter Turkey. Requirements can change, it's the traveler's responsibility to confirm current rules before departure.

Yes, the package price is based on double occupancy, so solo travelers pay a single supplement. You can also check solo pricing by changing guests from 2 to 1 in the booking calendar, or contact us for solo pricing and cabin availability. 

Checked luggage is not always included, it depends on the airline and fare type in your package. Some fares include one checked bag per person, others cover carry-on only. You can check and add luggage during the booking process, or contact us for help.

Yes. We can add extra nights in Barcelona before boarding or in Athens after disembarking. Contact us with your preferred dates and we will adjust the itinerary and confirm any additional costs.

This itinerary runs seasonally with warm-weather sailing in mind. Summer (June to August) is the warmest and busiest period, ideal for the beaches in Santorini and Mykonos. Spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October) offer milder temperatures and fewer crowds at each port. Sea conditions and port operations can vary by season, exact departure dates and temperatures should be confirmed at booking.

There's no fixed deposit. To confirm your booking, you can either pay in full at once or set up an installment plan. The website shows a suggested plan split into 2 payments, but our agents will advise on the best option for your dates, and the final payment must be made no later than 100 days before departure.

Travel insurance is not included but strongly recommended for cruise travel.
