- Begin your day at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, frequently featured in Outlander and rich in royal history. Along the way, stop at the Glenfinnan Monument on the shores of Loch Shiel, where Bonnie Prince Charlie raised the Jacobite flag in 1745.
