Day By Day Itinerary

1. Day 1 Arrival in Inverness, Scotland

   

   Welcome to Scotland! Upon arrival, pick up your car and settle into your hotel.

   Suggestion for the day:

   • After, take a stroll around Inverness. We suggest you explore the historic Old Town, visit Inverness Castle, and enjoy the scenic views along the River Ness. Take time to familiarize yourself with the city and its charming atmosphere.
2. Day 2 Inverness

   

   Suggestion for the day: Visit Loch Ness

   • Embark on a day trip to Loch Ness (a 30-minute drive), located just south of Inverness, and keep an eye out for the legendary Loch Ness Monster. Visit the iconic Urquhart Castle and learn about its fascinating history and legends. 
3. Day 3 Inverness

   

   Suggestion for the day: Culloden Battlefield and Clava Cairns

   On day 3 of your Scotland adventure consider exploring more of Scotland's history by visiting the Culloden Battlefield (15-minute drive from Inverness)  where the infamous Battle of Culloden took place. Continue to the ancient burial site of Clava Cairns, featuring well-preserved prehistoric stone circles and burial chambers. 

4. Day 4 Inverness

   

   Suggestion for the day: Torridon, Applecross and Eilean Donan Castle

   • Today we suggest you book a guided group tour to Torridon, Applecross, and Eilean Donan Castle. Explore the Beine Eighe National Nature Reserve, with its stunning Bein Eighe Ridge and the iconic Loch Maree, home to the majestic Golden Eagle. Journey through Torridon, witnessing ancient geology and wild scenery, before traversing the renowned Bealach na Ba pass to the picturesque village of Applecross. Enjoy incredible views towards Skye and the Hebrides and visit the picture-perfect Eilean Donan castle. Finally, follow the shores of Loch Ness back to Inverness, arriving in the early evening.
5. Day 5 Inverness

   

   Suggestion for the day: Whisky Delights 

   • There is no Scotland visit without trying some of their signature Whiskies. Consider booking one of the guided whisky tours of Speyside Whisky and Moray Firth (we can help with that!) Embark on a morning journey to the Tomatin Distillery, where you'll learn about whisky-making and enjoy a morning dram. Explore Elgin during lunchtime, visiting a whisky shop and exploring cathedral ruins. Continue to Glen Moray Distillery for a tour or a visit to Balvenie Castle. On the way to Inverness, capture memorable photos at the impressive Speyside Cooperage, home to an extensive collection of whisky barrels.
6. Day 6 Inverness

   

   Suggestion for the day: Mystical Glencoe Valley and Scottish Highlands

   • Today embark on a scenic drive through the Scottish Highlands, immersing yourself in the majestic landscapes and breathtaking views. Explore the mystical Glencoe Valley, hike through the rugged trails, and soak in the beauty of the surrounding mountains. 
7. Day 7 Farewell Scotland

   

   For now, it is time to say goodbye to Scotland. Return your rental car and think about all new treasured memories you made during this unforgettable trip.
