The trip has three train rides, all approximate: Zurich to Lucerne about 1 hour, Lucerne to Interlaken about 2 hours, and Interlaken back to Zurich about 2 hours. Exact times depend on the timetable of the day you travel.

All hotels are in central locations close to the train station in Zurich, Lucerne and Interlaken, so the walk from the platform to your hotel is short. You can choose from the hotels offered with this package when you click a date in the booking calendar. Hotel details are confirmed with your booking. Confirm what is included and add luggage during the booking process. Seat selection and cabin class upgrades can be arranged as paid add-ons, subject to availability.

Yes. The route has only three city changes, with 2 nights in Lucerne and 3 nights in Interlaken, so there is time to enjoy each place. Hotels are close to the stations, which keeps walking with luggage short. Every day is flexible: you choose how much to walk and which excursions to take, and many viewpoints are reached by train, boat or cable car.

Mountain views depend on the weather. With 3 nights in Interlaken you have two full days there, so you can pick the clearer day for the Jungfrau region and keep the other for the lakes or the town.

U.S. and Canadian citizens do not need a visa for tourist stays in Switzerland of up to 90 days within any 180-day period. Your passport should be valid for at least six months after your return date. ETIAS is not yet required, and the Yes Getaways team will let you know when it applies. Entry requirements are the traveler's responsibility, so check them before you travel.

Starting November 3, 2026, all passengers flying to the United States, or connecting through U.S. territory, must hand in a signed declaration at check-in. This applies to U.S. citizens too. It confirms you have not been in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the 21 days before your flight. Download the form from the CDC website, fill it in, sign it and date it with your travel date. Passengers without a completed form may be denied boarding, so we recommend arriving at the airport with extra time. Requirements can change, so please check the CDC page before you travel.

Airport transfers in Zurich are included on arrival and on your last day, between Zurich Airport and your hotel in Zurich. Between cities you travel by train, and those train tickets are also included. Transfers between the train stations and your hotels are not included, as all hotels are a short walk from the stations. If you prefer not to walk with your luggage, the Yes Getaways team can add them on request. If you have questions about your arrival, contact the Yes Getaways team.

Daily breakfast is not included by default, but it can be added during the booking process if available, or you can contact the Yes Getaways team to prioritize it. Local city taxes are not included and are paid directly at each hotel during your stay.

Swiss trains have luggage racks in each carriage and space above the seats, and your hotels are close to the stations, so the walk with your bags is short, but some walking is still needed (approx. up to 20 minutes).  As you change city three times, we recommend one suitcase per person that you can lift on your own. If you have questions about traveling with heavier luggage, contact the Yes Getaways team before you travel.

In summer (June to August), days in Zurich, Lucerne and Interlaken are usually around 22 to 25°C (72 to 77°F), the best time for lakes and mountain trips. Spring and early fall are milder, around 13 to 18°C (55 to 64°F), with fewer crowds. Winter is around 0 to 5°C (32 to 41°F). Mountain summits are much colder, and the Jungfraujoch has snow all year.

The Jungfraujoch station is at 3,454 m (11,332 ft), so the air is thinner and it is cold all year, with snow even in summer. Bring warm layers and sunglasses, move slowly, and check the weather before you go, as the views depend on clear skies. If you have concerns about altitude, ask your doctor before the trip. Tickets are not included.

Switzerland uses the Swiss franc (CHF), not the euro. Credit and debit cards are widely accepted in hotels, restaurants, shops and train stations, but it helps to carry some francs for small purchases. 

Yes. The package price shown is based on two travelers sharing a room. To travel alone, change the number of guests from 2 to 1 in the booking calendar, and the price will include the single room supplement. If you have questions, the Yes Getaways team is happy to help.

When you book online, the full amount is paid at booking. If you prefer to pay with a deposit, contact the Yes Getaways team, who can set this up for you. Ask the team about the cancellation conditions of your flights and hotels before you book, and we recommend travel insurance for any trip abroad.
