Experience Pack: Best of Lisbon - 9 Day Itinerary

About the Experience

Day 1 

Arrival at the hotel for the Check-in, rest & relax.

Explore the nearby LX Factory district on foot (10 mins).

At 7 pm, group Welcome Dinner (included) - Meeting Point Hotel Lobby (Hotel Restaurant).

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel.

OPTIONAL: At 9 am, Walk along the Belem district (Belem Tower, Discoveries Monument, Jeronimos Monastery & taste Pasteis de Belem (entrances not included and done during free time). Free time options (S. Jorge Castle, Museums, Oceanarium, Parque das Naçoes shopping center etc).

At 2 pm, Lisbon Half-day City Walking tour with Guide. The walking tour will end at or near the main square (Praça do Commercio) where you can continue to explore the core, have dinner at restaurants along rua Augusta pedistrian or return to hotel.

Free leisure time in Lisbon, perhaps take in a dinner Fado night at Pateo D'Alfama - call for reservations.

Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel.

At 9 am, depart for Sintra.  +/- 30 mins. Drive to Sintra.

Visit to Quinta da Regaleira, return to Sintra city center for lunch.

At 2 pm, meet the bus to depart towards Cascais,  +/- 30 mins. Drive to Cascais. 

Visit Boca do Inferno then walk around the historic center of Cascais

At 4:30 pm, meet at designated meeting point to continue onto Ericeira,  +/- 1 hr Drive to Ericeira.

Free leisure time in Ericeira, you can walk along the coast and the main pedistrian street with many options for restraurants.

Day 4

At 10 am, depart for Obidos.

Explore Obidos, one of the best preserved medieval cities in Europe. Lunch in Obidos.

At 1:30 pm, depart for Tomar, visit Monastery in Tomar (Knights Templar).

At 7 pm, Group Dinner at Hotel (included), optional walk around Tomar old city center (before or after dinner).

Day 5

At 9 am, depart for Coimbra. Discover historic Coimbra with a 2 hr city walking tour. Lunch in Coimbra.

At 1:30 pm, continue to Aveiro. Enjoy a Moliceiro Boat Ride. 

At 4 pm, continue onto Porto. Dinner at leisure and the optional evening walk along the Ribeira district (time to be determined based on group preferences). Optional accompanied walk around Ribeira district over bridge to Vila Nova de Gaia (also a nice area for dinner).

Day 6

At 9 am, breakfast at the hotel, meet in the hotel lobby for guided city walking tour of Porto.

FREE TIME for lunch to explore Porto (or rest for the long day tomorrow). Optional activities: Good opportunity to do Porto wine tasting at a lodge in Vila Nova de Gaia; Six Bridges boat tour (2hr) or explore Porto outside the city centre on a Hop-On Hop-Off bus tour.

Dinner at leisure and free time.

Day 7

At 9 am, breakfast at the hotel, meet Alice at the designated meeting point.

Drive along the Dour River, Train, Boat and visit & wine tasting at a picturesque family-owned Quinta (vineyard). This is expected to be a long day but a highight of the trip.

By evening, return to Hotel / Evening at leisure for dinner.

Day 8

At 9 am, depart for Nazaré to visit & lunch. Visit Nazaré beach & lunch. 

At 1 pm, depart to Lisbon.

At 7:30 pm, Group Farewell Dinner at the Hotel (included).

Day 9

Breakfast.

At 12 pm, Check-out and departure OR Additional nights in Lisbon.
