Day 2Athens: City of Gods and Legends

Today, cross the Corinth Canal on your journey from Athens to Nafplion (approx. 1 hour 15 min to Corinth / 1.5 hours total to Nafplion). Along the way, discover some of Greece’s most iconic ancient sites. You’ll be spending the night in Nafplion.

Continue to Mycenae to see the Treasury of Atreus, Lion Gate, and royal palace ruins.

Day 4Drive to Olympia
Today, drive from Nafplion to Olympia (approx. 2.5 hours). This journey takes you to the birthplace of the Olympic Games and one of Greece’s most important UNESCO World Heritage sites. You’ll be spending the night in Olympia.

Explore the extensive ruins of Ancient Olympia, where the first Olympic Games were held in 776 BC, including the temples, stadium, hippodrome, wrestling school, and gymnasium.

Day 5Drive to Delphi - Stop at Patras: Temples and Treasures

Day 6Drive to Kastraki - Stop at Thermopylae
Drive from Delphi to Kastraki with a stop at Thermopylae (approx. 1 hour 15 min to Thermopylae / 3 hours total to Kastraki). This route blends ancient history with breathtaking landscapes, ending near the iconic rock formations of Meteora. You’ll be spending the night in Kastraki.

Begin at Delphi, exploring the Sanctuary of Apollo along the Sacred Way, the Temple of Apollo, and statues commemorating the Pythian Games.

In the afternoon, head to Thermopylae, the legendary site of the Spartan stand against the Persians.

Continue through the lush Thessaly region towards Kastraki, with possible glimpses of Meteora’s monasteries along the way.
Day 7Drive Back to Athens
Today, return to Athens from Kastraki (approx. 3.5 hours drive), with a morning stop to visit the UNESCO-listed Monasteries of Meteora, famed for their dramatic setting atop towering rock pillars.

Begin the day in Kastraki and make your way to Meteora, exploring a few of its remarkable monasteries and enjoying sweeping views over Kalambaka.
