The Yes Getaways NCL Mediterranean Cruise package includes round-trip flights, 1 night in a Barcelona hotel before boarding with airport to hotel and hotel to port transfers included, 7 nights on board the Norwegian Epic with full board (breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day), 1 night in a Rome hotel after disembarkation with port to hotel and hotel to airport transfers included, and all taxes and fees related to the booking. Drinks, Wi-Fi, gratuities, shore excursions, and breakfast at both hotels are not included but can be added during the booking process.

The Norwegian Epic departs from Barcelona on day 1 at 5:00 PM and ends at Civitavecchia (Rome) on day 8 at 6:00 AM. The route covers 6 ports across 2 countries: Marseille, France (arrive 7:00 AM, depart 5:00 PM), gateway to Provence. Nice and Monaco, France (arrive 7:00 AM, depart 6:00 PM), gateway to the French Riviera and Monaco. Livorno, Italy (arrive 7:00 AM, depart 11:59 PM), gateway to Florence and Tuscany. One day at sea. Messina, Italy (arrive 7:00 AM, depart 6:00 PM), gateway to Sicily. Salerno, Italy (arrive 7:00 AM, depart 6:00 PM), gateway to the Amalfi Coast. The ship arrives at Civitavecchia on day 8 at 6:00 AM for disembarkation.

Full board means breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included every day during the 7-night cruise. The Norwegian Epic operates a freestyle dining format, meaning you eat when you want, where you want, with no fixed seating or set times. Main dining rooms, the Garden Café buffet, and O'Sheehan's Bar & Grill are all included. Specialty restaurants including Cagney's Steakhouse, Le Bistro, La Cucina, Teppanyaki, and others are available at an additional cost. Drinks are not included and are purchased separately. A drinks package can be added during the booking process.

The ship
The Norwegian Epic carries 4,100 passengers in 2,114 cabins and is one of the largest cruise ships sailing the Mediterranean at 155,873 gross tons. Interiors are contemporary and designed for flexibility and entertainment.

Dining
Multiple included venues including The Manhattan Room, Taste, Garden Café buffet, and O'Sheehan's Bar & Grill open 24 hours. Specialty restaurants at additional cost include Cagney's Steakhouse, Le Bistro, La Cucina, Moderno Churrascaria, Teppanyaki, and Shanghai's Chinese Restaurant.

Entertainment
Broadway-style Epic Theatre, Headliners Comedy Club, The Cavern Club with live Beatles music, Bliss Ultra Lounge, and nightly themed parties. Starbucks on board.

Sports and activities
Aqua Park, climbing wall, pool deck, Spice H2O adults-only outdoor club, Posh Beach Club, and multiple pools and bars throughout the ship.

Unique features
The Skyy Vodka Ice Bar is kept at -8°C (17°F) with seating, bar, and glasses made entirely from ice. The Spice H2O adults-only venue converts its pool floor into a dance floor at night.

Mandara Spa with a Thermal Suite, beauty salon, and barber shop. All at additional cost.

None of the three are included in the package price but all can be added during the booking process. Drinks are purchased on board or as a pre-purchased package. Wi-Fi packages are available for purchase before departure or on board. Gratuities are charged as a daily service fee per person and can be prepaid during the booking process.

No. All shore excursions are optional and at additional cost. Popular options include the calanques and Old Port of Marseille, Monaco and the Grand Prix circuit from Nice, the Uffizi Gallery and Duomo in Florence from Livorno, Mount Etna and Taormina from Messina, the Amalfi Coast drive and Positano from Salerno, and the Colosseum and Vatican from Rome. The Yes Getaways team can recommend and arrange the right excursions at each port before you travel, or you can book independently at each port.

Three ports on this itinerary are gateways rather than destinations in themselves. 

• Livorno is the port for Florence, approximately 80 km away by train or coach. Nearly 17 hours in port gives you a full day in Florence. 
• Messina is the port for Sicily, with Taormina approximately 50 km away and Mount Etna approximately 60 km away. 
• Salerno is the gateway to the Amalfi Coast, with Positano reachable by ferry or road. Nice is walkable from the port, with Monaco approximately 20 km away by train.

Breakfast is not included by default at either hotel. It can be added during the booking process. 

The package includes 1 night in Barcelona and 1 night in Rome, with hotels ranging from 3 to 5-star, as upgrades, in both cities. The package price varies depending on the hotel selected. In Barcelona, all properties are in the Gothic Quarter or Las Ramblas area, centrally located and within walking distance of the cruise port. In Rome, properties are spread across the historic center near major landmarks, including the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and Via Nazionale. None requires a car. All transfers are included and arranged by the Yes Getaways team. On arrival in Barcelona, a transfer takes you from Barcelona Airport to your hotel. On boarding day, a transfer takes you from your Barcelona hotel to the cruise port. On disembarkation day in Rome, a transfer takes you from Civitavecchia port to your Rome hotel. On departure day, a transfer takes you from your Rome hotel to Rome Airport. You do not need to arrange any transport at either end.

Yes, round-trip flights are included. You fly into Barcelona and return home from Rome. The package price varies depending on your departure airport. Other departure cities are available on request. Checked luggage is not always included and depends on the airline and fare type. You can confirm what is included and add luggage during the booking process. Seat selection and cabin class upgrades can be arranged as paid add-ons, subject to availability.

No. City taxes are not included and are paid directly at the Barcelona and Rome hotels.

US and Canadian passport holders do not currently need a visa for Spain, France or Italy, all Schengen Area countries. Stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period are permitted without a visa. Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond your return date. ETIAS, a pre-travel authorization for Schengen Area travel, is not yet mandatory. When it launches, it will apply to this itinerary, and we will notify you in advance. Entry requirements are the traveler's responsibility and can change.

Yes. Both cities reward extra time. Barcelona has the Sagrada Família, Park Güell, the Gothic Quarter, and the Picasso Museum. Rome has the Vatican, the Colosseum, Trastevere, and enough to fill a week without repeating yourself. The Yes Getaways team can add nights in either city before boarding or after disembarkation. Contact the team with your preferred dates and we will adjust the itinerary. Additional costs apply.

All three countries are stable, well-visited destinations with no active conflicts affecting travelers. Standard precautions apply in busy tourist areas.

This package is non-refundable once booked, including both the airfare and the cruise and hotel portions. Travel insurance with cancellation cover is strongly recommended. This summary does not replace the full terms and conditions of your booking.
