The Yes Getaways Sun Princess Mediterranean Cruise package includes round-trip flights, 1 night in a Barcelona hotel before boarding with airport to hotel and hotel to port transfers included, 7 nights on board the Sun Princess with full board (breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day), 1 night in a Rome hotel after disembarkation with port to hotel and hotel to airport transfers included, and all taxes and fees related to the booking. Drinks, Wi-Fi, gratuities, shore excursions, and breakfast at both hotels are not included but can be added by contacting the Yes Getaways team.

The Sun Princess departs from Barcelona on day 1 at 5:00 PM and ends at Civitavecchia (Rome) on day 8 at 6:00 AM. The route covers 6 ports across 3 countries with no days at sea: Palma de Mallorca, Spain (arrive 7:00 AM, depart 4:00 PM). Marseille, France (arrive 10:00 AM, depart 8:00 PM), gateway to Provence. Corsica (Ajaccio), France (arrive 8:00 AM, depart 6:00 PM). Genoa, Italy (arrive 8:00 AM, depart 8:00 PM), gateway to Portofino. La Spezia, Italy (arrive 7:00 AM day 6, depart 5:00 PM day 7), two full days for Florence, Pisa, and Cinque Terre. The ship arrives at Civitavecchia on day 8 at 6:00 AM.

La Spezia is the port for Florence, Pisa, Lucca, and Cinque Terre. Most Mediterranean cruises give you one day here. This itinerary gives you two full days. Florence on day one, 100 km inland by train. Pisa and Lucca on day two, both within 25 km of the port. Cinque Terre is also reachable from La Spezia by train in under 30 minutes if you want a second visit after Genoa. Plan your days before departure. Full board means breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included every day during the 7-night cruise. The Sun Princess has multiple included dining venues including the Main Dining Room, the Three-level Dining Room, and the Eatery buffet. Specialty restaurants including Crown Grill, Sabatini's Italian Trattoria, The Butcher's Block by Dario, Alfredo's Pizzeria, and others are available at an additional cost. Drinks are not included and are purchased separately. 

The ship
The Sun Princess launched in February 2024 and carries 5,189 passengers in 2,162 cabins. It is one of the newest and largest ships in the Princess Cruises fleet at 175,500 gross tons.

Dining
Multiple included venues including the Main Dining Room, buffet, and International Café open 24 hours. Specialty restaurants at additional cost include Crown Grill, Sabatini's Italian Trattoria, The Butcher's Block by Dario, Alfredo's Pizzeria, Makoto Ocean, Umai Teppanyaki, and The Catch by Rudi.

Entertainment
Broadway-style Princess Theatre with a 36-foot stage, live shows including Come Fly Away, Stage Struck, Blue, and Fiera, O'Malley's Irish Pub, Spellbound by Magic Castle, and a Princess Casino.

Relaxation
The Riviera deck has three large pools, four whirlpool spas, a waterfall, and an island bar. The Sanctuary is an adults-only tranquil area. Movies Under the Stars runs on deck nightly.

None of the three are included in the package price. All three can be arranged directly with Princess Cruises before boarding or on board. 

No. All shore excursions are optional and at additional cost. The Yes Getaways team can recommend and arrange the right excursions at each port before you travel. You can also book independently at each port. Popular options include the old town and cathedral of Palma de Mallorca, the calanques and Old Port of Marseille, the old town and citadel of Ajaccio in Corsica, Portofino from Genoa, and Florence, Pisa, and Cinque Terre from La Spezia. Breakfast is not included by default at either hotel. It can be added during the booking process. You can check breakfast options for each property directly in the booking flow, or contact the Yes Getaways team and we will prioritize hotels with complimentary breakfast included.

The package includes 1 night in Barcelona and 1 night in Rome, with hotels ranging from 4-star to 5-star, as upgraes, in both cities. The package price varies depending on the hotel selected. In Barcelona, all properties are in the Gothic Quarter or Las Ramblas area, centrally located and within walking distance of the cruise port. In Rome, all properties are in the historic center near major landmarks including the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Pantheon, and the Trevi Fountain. All transfers are included and arranged by the Yes Getaways team. On arrival in Barcelona, a transfer takes you from Barcelona Airport to your hotel. On boarding day, a transfer takes you from your Barcelona hotel to the cruise port. On disembarkation day in Rome, a transfer takes you from Civitavecchia port to your Rome hotel. On departure day, a transfer takes you from your Rome hotel to Rome Airport. You do not need to arrange any transport at either end.

Corsica is the most overlooked port on this itinerary and one of the most rewarding. Ajaccio is the capital and birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte. The old town is compact and walkable, with the Maison Bonaparte, the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption, and the covered market all within easy reach of the port. The coastline around Ajaccio is dramatic. Ten hours in port is enough to explore the city and take a short drive along the coast.

Princess Cruises reserves the right to alter the itinerary due to weather, sea conditions, or operational requirements. If a port is skipped, the ship typically replaces it with an alternative stop or adjusts the schedule. Port changes are outside the control of Yes Getaways. Travel insurance is strongly recommended for this reason.

Yes, round-trip flights are included. You fly into Barcelona and return home from Rome. The package price varies depending on your departure airport. Other departure cities are available on request. Checked luggage is not always included and depends on the airline and fare type. You can confirm what is included and add luggage during the booking process. Seat selection and cabin class upgrades can be arranged as paid add-ons, subject to availability.

No. City taxes are not included and are paid directly at the Barcelona and Rome hotels.

Canadian passport holders do not currently need a visa for Spain, France, or Italy, all Schengen Area countries. Stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period are permitted without a visa. Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond your return date. ETIAS, a pre-travel authorization for Schengen Area travel, is not yet mandatory. When it launches, it will apply to this itinerary and we will notify you in advance. Entry requirements are the traveler's responsibility and can change.

Yes. Both cities reward extra time and the Yes Getaways team can add nights before boarding or after disembarkation.

All three countries are stable, well-visited destinations with no active conflicts affecting travelers. Standard precautions apply in busy tourist areas.
