Royal Caribbean Cruise: Barcelona, Provence, Florence & Rome

The Yes Getaways Royal Caribbean Mediterranean Cruise package includes round-trip flights, 2 nights in a Barcelona hotel (1 on arrival, 1 after disembarkation), transfers between Barcelona Airport, hotel, and cruise port on both boarding and disembarkation days, 7 nights on board the Legend of the Seas with full board (breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day), and all taxes and fees related to the booking. Cruise gratuities are also included. Drinks, Wi-Fi, shore excursions, and breakfast at the Barcelona hotel are not included but can be added during the booking process.

The Legend of the Seas departs from Barcelona on day 1 at 5:00 PM and returns to Barcelona on day 8 at 5:00 AM. The route covers 5 ports across 3 countries: Palma de Mallorca, Spain (arrive 8:00 AM, depart 4:00 PM). Marseille, France (arrive 9:00 AM, depart 4:30 PM), gateway to Provence. La Spezia, Italy (arrive 6:30 AM, depart 8:00 PM), gateway to Florence and Pisa. Civitavecchia, Italy (arrive 7:00 AM, depart 8:00 PM), gateway to Rome. Naples, Italy (arrive 7:00 AM, depart 7:00 PM), gateway to Pompeii, Capri, and the Amalfi Coast. One day at sea before returning to Barcelona.

Full board means breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included every day during the 7-night cruise. The Legend of the Seas has over 40 dining and drinking venues, with main dining rooms and the buffet included in the cruise fare. Specialty restaurants including Giovanni's Italian Kitchen, Izumi Hibachi & Sushi, and others are available at an additional cost. Drinks are not included and are purchased separately. A drinks package can be added during the booking process.

The ship
The Legend of the Seas is Royal Caribbean's newest Icon Class ship, carrying 7,600 passengers in 2,814 cabins. It is one of the largest and most feature-rich ships ever to sail the Mediterranean.

Dining
Over 40 dining and drinking venues on board. Main dining rooms and buffet are included. Specialty restaurants at additional cost include Giovanni's Italian Kitchen, Izumi Hibachi & Sushi, and others.

Entertainment
AquaTheater with Olympic-level high divers and a 55-foot waterfall, Broadway-style theatre, ice skating arena at Absolute Zero, dueling pianos, live jazz, rock concerts, and adults-only comedy.

Sports and thrills
Category 6 Waterpark with six record-breaking slides including the first open freefall waterslide at sea. FlowRider surf simulator, Crown's Edge aerial skywalk over the ocean, climbing wall, and mini-golf.

Pools
Seven pools including the Royal Bay Pool (largest pool at sea), the Hideaway suspended infinity pool for adults only, the Swim & Tonic swim-up bar, and the Water's Edge family pool.

Spa and wellness
Full spa facilities on board. All at additional cost.

Gratuities are included in this package for the Legend of the Seas. Drinks and Wi-Fi are not included but can both be added during the booking process. 

No. All shore excursions are optional and at additional cost. The Yes Getaways team can recommend and arrange the right excursions at each port before you travel. Popular options include the old town and cathedral of Palma de Mallorca, the calanques and Old Port of Marseille, the Uffizi Gallery, Leaning Tower of Pisa, and the five clifftop villages of Cinque Terre from La Spezia, the Colosseum and Vatican from Rome, and Pompeii, Capri, and the Amalfi Coast from Naples. Contact the team when booking and we will include the right options in your quote, or you can book tours independently at each port.

Three ports on this itinerary are gateways. 

• La Spezia is the port for Florence, approximately 100 km away by train, and Pisa, approximately 15 km away. Over 13 hours in port gives you time for both.
• Civitavecchia is the port for Rome, approximately 80 km away by train. Thirteen hours in port gives you a full day in Rome. 
• Naples is the closest port to Pompeii (30 km by road), Capri (ferry from Naples port), and the Amalfi Coast (reachable by ferry or road from Naples). Twelve hours gives you time for one destination in depth. The Amalfi Coast and Capri are reachable from Naples but are day trips, not included port stops.

Breakfast is not included by default at the Barcelona hotel on either night. It can be added during the booking process. You can check breakfast options for each property directly in the booking flow, or contact the Yes Getaways team and we will prioritize hotels with complimentary breakfast included.

The package includes 2 nights in Barcelona (1 on arrival before boarding, 1 after disembarkation before flying home). All properties are in the Gothic Quarter or Las Ramblas area, centrally located and within walking distance of the cruise port. Hotels range from 4 to 5-star, as upgrades. The package price varies depending on the hotel selected. Exact options are shown when you click a date in the booking calendar and proceed to the next step. All transfers are included and arranged by the Yes Getaways team. On arrival, a transfer takes you from Barcelona Airport to your hotel. On boarding day, a transfer takes you from your Barcelona hotel to the cruise port. On disembarkation day, a transfer takes you from the cruise port back to your Barcelona hotel. On departure day, a transfer takes you from your Barcelona hotel to the airport. You do not need to arrange any transport at either end.

Yes, round-trip flights are included. The package price varies depending on your departure airport. Other departure cities are available on request. Checked luggage is not always included and depends on the airline and fare type. You can confirm what is included and add luggage during the booking process. Seat selection and cabin class upgrades can be arranged as paid add-ons, subject to availability.

Yes to all three. The Legend of the Seas was built for every type of traveler. Solo travelers pay a single supplement for the cabin and hotel nights. Families have dedicated pools, kids clubs, and family dining options throughout the ship. Couples have the adults-only Hideaway infinity pool, Crown's Edge, and Spice H2O outdoor club. Contact the Yes Getaways team before booking and we will make sure the cabin and hotel selection fits your group.

Royal Caribbean reserves the right to alter the itinerary due to weather, sea conditions, or operational requirements. If a port is skipped, the ship typically replaces it with an alternative stop or remains at sea. Port changes are outside the control of Yes Getaways. 

No. City taxes are not included and are paid directly at the Barcelona hotel.

US and Canadian passport holders do not currently need a visa for Spain, France, or Italy, all Schengen Area countries. Stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period are permitted without a visa. Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond your return date. ETIAS, a pre-travel authorization for Schengen Area travel, is not yet mandatory. When it launches, it will apply to this itinerary, and we will notify you in advance. Entry requirements are the traveler's responsibility and can change.

Yes. Barcelona rewards extra time and the Yes Getaways team can add nights before boarding or after disembarkation.

All three countries are stable, well-visited destinations with no active conflicts affecting travelers. Standard precautions apply in busy tourist areas. 

This package is non-refundable once booked, including both the airfare and the cruise and hotel portions. Travel insurance with cancellation cover is strongly recommended. This summary does not replace the full terms and conditions of your booking.
